Tarek is a 21-year-old Lebanese man who repairs cars for a living. He lives in Sydney’s western suburbs, surrounded by petty crime, with his two friends Nabil and Sam. As they try to find their way, caught between cultures, they make the wrong choice and suffer the consequences.

Sandra Bullock plays eccentric crossword puzzle constructor Mary Horowitz who, after one short but sweet blind date, falls for handsome cable news cameraman Steve (Cooper). Convinced they are soulmates, Mary follows Steve across the country, encouraged by the self-serving actions of news reporter Hartman Hughes (Church). The Blind Side, which depicts the remarkable true story of All-American football star Michael Oher.

A homeless African-American youngster from a broken home, Oher (Quinton Aaron) is taken in by the Touhys, a well-to-do white family who help him fulfill his potential on and off the football field. In the Sahara desert, a sandstorm batters a deserted drilling station. Thomas “Jack” Jackman (Paul) a security patrolman, battles through the high winds to find out why all contact with the station has been lost. Originally built for gas exploration, and then abandoned, the site had recently been taken over by a multi-national research team intent on drilling deeper into the earth’s crust than ever before.
